报告摘要： This talk  mainly discusses certain properties of the centralizers of elements and their impact on the group structure. In particular, we will focus on the centralizers of  prime power order elements and of the elements outside certain non-normal subgroups with respect to their influence on the group structure.

报告人简介：邵长国，南京邮电大学教授，博士生导师。主要从事代数学-有限群论研究，在群的共轭类和不变子群、元素的中心化子等方面取得一系列有意义的结果。 在《Israel J. Math.》、《Journal of Algebra》、《Proc. Roy. Soc. Edinburgh Sect. A》、《Sci. China Math.》等国内外知名期刊发表学术论文近90篇，其中SCI论文60余篇。主持国家自然基金面上项目两项。担任国际数学统计期刊《Hacettepe Journal of Mathematics and Statistics》（SCI收录）编委。
